Robbin Gordon-Cartier Masterclass and Performance

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, acclaimed harpist Robbin Gordon-Cartier hosted a virtual masterclass, followed by a virtual performance.

American Harp Society’s Auditions and Evaluations Program

On Sunday, February 21, 2021, the CT Chapter hosted the first of two student participation dates, as part of the American Harp Society’s Auditions and Evaluations program. With an enthusiastic response of 23 students, guest harpist Dr. Molly O’Roark adjudicated students with helpful comments throughout the afternoon. Molly performed a short but beautifully programmed recital of diverse composers, including works of William Grant Still, Brandee Younger, Bernard Andres, and Franz Liszt/Robert Maxwell. Students also participated in theory classes with ear training, organized and run by Debbie Vinick. The event was coordinated and run by Wendy Kerner and Susan Knapp Thomas.

We look forward to returning on March 21 for the 2nd part of this program, which will feature a recital of the pieces on which our students received comments. All paid CT Chapter members, teachers, and invited student families and friends are welcome to attend!
